Growth-oriented manufacturer of power equipment is looking for sales representatives to acquire and support new customers in Construction, Industrial and Utility segments. Self-employed sales representatives (m/f/d), commercial agencies or industrial representation wanted for various sales territories in Germany (see sales territories). Sales of medium voltage transformers, switchgear, and modular substation solutions.

About us

JST Power Equipment is a well-known manufacturer of power equipment for almost 30 years. Our product portfolio includes -not only- dry type transformers, VPI, cast resin transformers and gas insulated medium voltage switchgear. We operate several manufacturing plants in China, India, Mexico and the USA. Our customers are leading companies in the field of wind and solar energy, regional/municipal public utilities, industrial companies, as well as data center operators.

Your accountabilities

This is what we expect from you:

  • Cold calling of new customers in your sales territory
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
  • Identify potentials and customer needs and match these with product and system solutions
  • Generate qualified inquiries from both new and existing customers
  • Achievement of agreed sales targets and results
  • Independent travel planning, proposal and attendance of trade fairs and conferences
  • Coordination of sales activities with head of sales
  • Regular reporting: status reports to head of sales with use of CRM software
  • Attend training on as needed/required basis to learn the JST products and services

Your profile

What you bring to the table:

  • Good industry and/or product knowledge: either through relevant work experience in the field of electrical engineering or through a technical profession (journeyman’s certificate) or engineering degree
  • Experience in front end sales, account management or rep work
  • Professional level of interaction, sales skills
  • Self-driven and high level of motivation
  • You are not "just a salesperson” but a team player, you have
  • A strong sense of personal accountability and are a strong communicator
  • Independent and open way of working
  • High willingness to travel
  • Flexibility
  • You are proficient in spoken and written English
  • Own your own car or have ready access to one for business travel and customer meetings
  • Existing contacts in your sales area are a plus

  • Regional and municipal utilities
  • Industrial customers with own or connection to existing medium-voltage assets and/or distribution substations
  • Users and operators of substations and/or distribution substations
  • Data centers, crypto mining and/or ancillary industries
  • Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for the above-mentioned customers with focus on industrial customers, local substations and transformer stations
  • Wind and solar farm developers and operators, sind turbine OEMs, energy storage suppliers
  • Speaking partners within these customers ideally are decision-makers in purchasing, engineering, planning, operations management, maintenance
  • You must be willing to work your way up through the customer organization and extend your network

  • West I: Postal codes of the areas 40-47, 34-36, 50-53 and 57-59

  • South: postal codes of the areas 80-87 and 90-97
  • East: postal codes of areas 0, 1, 39 and 98-99
